I recently read a post by The Evangelism Coach. I really enjoy reading his blog. The title of the blog post was "Evangelism without discipleship is incomplete" It was an interesting post and I do not disagree with most of what is in it. But there is one problem.
We are not called to make converts. We are called to make disciples.
I would contend that evangelism without discipleship is not evangelism at all.
The commission that Jesus gave before He left did not say "go into all the world and make converts, baptize them if you want and do not worry about teaching them anything for I will be with them". Unfortunately this is how so much of the church today treats evangelism. The commission is to "make disciples baptizing them and teaching them all things"
Some how too many think that if people come to church they are being discipled. It appears that much of the church thinks if we can get them to come down the isle, raise their hand, look up at the pastor or say a prayer we have done our job.

125 ways to be missional in your community
You have seen lists of how to be missional here and there across the
internet. Virge Network has put together an E-book with many ways to be
missional.. It is a short book but each
chapter has an intro to each list.

It is important that your church be
accessible to people with disabilities. There are many things that you
may not think about. Here is a check list to get you started. There are
some things on the list that you can not do because of existing building
construction such as the width of hallways or the slope of walkways.
There is a pretty complete checklist at the link below.

Dynamic Community Outreach: Developing a Special Needs and Disability Coordina...: Developing a Special Needs and Disability Coordinator is a powerful way to reach out to your community. Few churches have the resources to meet many of the social, economic or physical needs of many in the community. This position enables the church to know where to send someone if they are not able to meet a persons need.
